Counseling Services

Individuals

Individual counseling (both for teens and adults) provides one-on-one care to address specific situations or difficulties.

We start with you. We will first invest time in defining how you want things to be when we are finished. We will explore what’s important to you and how life will be better if you can see specific changes.

We then work together to identify the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Over time, we will strive to make simple changes every day so that you feel more joyful, energized, and empowered.

We will work to make these changes enduring long after our work together has finished.

Couples/Families

Couples and family counseling look to change the systems of interactions among the folks you interact with most often to improve communication and connection.

When engaging as a couple or family, you will first acknowledge and address the heightened emotions – be they obvious or the proverbial elephant in the room.

Over time, we work together to change the patterns of interactions in the room so that every person experiences being heard, understood and valued.

Finally, we use new patterns to address old problems – the stress and pain points that brought you to therapy.

Groups

Group counseling (whether for teens or adults) provides an effective, affordable pathway to meet your personalized goals in a fun, supportive space.

Groups work by using the way your brain is built to advance your healing and growth. Your brain works best when connected to others.

Groups can accelerate your therapy process by

(1) letting you experience that you are not the only one facing your type of problem,

(2) seeing that other people with problems like yours improve (so you can too),

(3) experiencing and providing the compassion for others going through similar experiences, and

(4) placing your brain in a learning community that learns faster together than any individual might have alone.
